Blocked Drain in Pymble

Tony and his son erupted into laughter at the television. They had hired out a DVD comedy and were thoroughly enjoying it. “Good choice Dad!” Mitch praised and gave him a playful nudge. “What did I miss?” Mitch’s Mum, Trish, asked as she entered the room. She had left the movie to cook up a bag of microwave popcorn. Tony attempted to re-enact the last joke but it didn’t quite have the same effect. Trish eventually persuaded them to replay the footage that she had missed.

The popcorn was quickly consumed and Mitch felt his throat grow dry from the saltiness. “Anyone want a drink? He offered. Tony and Trish asked for a glass of water each and Mitch went to retrieve it for them. Mitch inspected the fridge and saw that they were out of cold water. He collected two glasses from the cupboard and turned on the cold water, in the sink. He turned to grab the glasses and upon facing the sink he was surprised the see that it had started to fill. Mitch then added water to his parent’s glasses and closed the tap.

When Mitch returned to the lounge he mentioned the sink’s unusual behaviour to his parents. Tony rolled his eyes and Trish groaned in response. “What did I say wrong?” Mitch asked, bewildered. Trish explained that their sink had been blocked 3 times already in the past few months. “The plumbers obviously haven’t fixed it properly,” Tony added. His parents then discussed amongst themselves what course of action they would take, regarding their blocked drain. While still talking, Mitch cleared his throat to get his parents attention. “I know a plumbing company you should try,” he suggested.
